moon

There is one moon,
but its reflections,
falling on countless pools of water,
appears as countless moons.
Similarly,
the one and the same supreme consciousness
is being manifested as limitless indivual entities.

keep young and beautiful.....

"Nobody grows old merely by living a number of years.
We grow old be deserting our ideals.
Years may wrinkle the skin but giving up enthusiasm
wrinkles the soul."

Front Porch ii

The porch now that the hops have grown up.
You can revisit and earlier post and see this same shot in a more barren form.
See "Front Porch" entry for comparison.
Tractor waiting patiently for me to designate spots for that bucket full of manure!

Garlic! Mmmmm! with mustard greens and weeds in the foreground
and hops and flowers in the background.

Random

Butterflies at Bull Lake

The headboard for my "garden beds".
I found this abandoned bed and decided that it would have a happy home in the garden
then I decided it needed to be embellished
so I spent some time with some paints and here is the result.
The flowers and weeds grow up and you cannot really see it.

For some reason I am drawn to spheres.
I have a little collection.
Now I have to figure out what to do with them.
Since the weather got nice, a few of them moved to the garden.
You will have to look closely at all blog entries and see if you can
"spot the sphere"! Sort of like "where's waldo"!

My reading spot

My favorite chair with the woodstove and the lovely purple oxalis atop
and the poinsettia in the foreground
When I lie on the couch (in a sunbeam) and sneak in a few pages of a book on a (supposedly busy) afternoon this is my view.

The ugly second hand chair with the folded laundry fresh off the line waiting to be carried upstairs and put away.
I love the greenish glow the sun gives that far wall!
The bookcase with the big plant that has taken over the corner.

Columbine

Some of the different colors of Columbine I have in the various crannies of the yard.
These two are in the front with the biggest lilacs.
I alwasy let them go to seed and they re-seed themselves vigorously
so I give them aways in droves and re-plant them all over the yard
for little flashes of June color

I have a few of these white ones too. I am not sure how that happened.
It is as if they gor bleached.
they are white on white and very pretty, they don't fotograf as well though.

Cypripedium montanum

Cypripedium montanum Dougl. The queen of the Rocky Mountain Orchids!
Mountain Lady Slipper

This plant is considered rare and possibly endangered!
It was an amazing find!
The fotos do not do it justice!
there are hot pink stripes inside of the slipper.
I took a bout a gillion fotos trying to capture the beauty of this gem, but it didn't happen for me.
I found these while riding my bike.
I caught a glimps of something strangely shped and colored out of the corner of my eye
and stopped to investigate, and was wonderfully enriched by the experience!
(somehow the fotos look better in my computer files than they copied to the blog?! How did that happen? they are much clearer on my computer, shucks!)
