Dirty snow banks
Burning off the shaggy grass
Stacks of debris for bon fires
And a glimmer of dazzling color amidst it all.
There are little promises that soon there will be GREEN all around us,
some buds on the lilac trees, and shoots of daffodils and poppy stems.....
Our wolrd is awakening after a long winter!
