Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life.
It turns what we have into enough, and more.
It turns denial into acceptance,
chaos into order,
confusion into clarity.....
Gratitude makes sense of our past,
brings peace for today
and creates vision for tomorrow.
Melody Beattie
This month, between yoga modules, we are tasked to add an affirmation journal to our daily practice log. The definition of the "affirmation journal" was to consider three things you are grateful for each day, jot them down and be attentive to their effect on you day, on your life.
One of my classmates sent out this quote, very appropriately.
I am not sure if this quote would have packed such a punch for me if I hadn't been keeping the daily affirmations. I encourage you, gentle reader, to try this at home. It is amazing.
At first, I thought it was kind of corny, and I was self conscious of my little gratitude's, but I kept at it and it really evolved into what the author above put so eloquently!
Be Grateful!
There is a lot to consider and to be grateful for: how about hot running water!?
I would truly miss that feature in my life, were it to disappear!
The foto is of a fern in my window. I am smitten with the unfurling of the spirals!

Sledding
The neighbors driveway is nearly a mile long, this season it has been treacherous to drive on many occassions, but has been a delight to fly down on a runner sled!
WooooWheeee!
Here are the "girls" after an exhilarating run down the hill.
We sanded the road at the bottom to slow us down, but it didn't seem to help all that much, thankfully there were some sledding cowboys to round us up and try to corral us into the ditch when things got wicked fast! The ditch saw a lot of action!
This day was barely above 0°! Brrrrrrr!
