White Light & Window Sills

Another early morning foto.
My old bottle collections and orbs.
The purple ball is a special "contact juggling" orb,
this just seemed like a good place to keep it.
The bluish one is a watering ball that broke,
the "nozzle" fell off and it landed here.
And the amberish one is a "witching ball" with a crooked hanger
that balances better than it hangs.
They all keep bugs and dust out of my bottles-that-are-sometimes-vases.
And look pretty while doing it.

...♪bless this beautiful morning....♫

...til its gone.♫

These blooms last a bit longer than the morning,
but won't be with us for long.

I am up early most mornings.
This is my "approach" to my morning bike ride to work.
With the blooms and the light this morning, I spent some extra time
wandering about the yard with my camera.
All before 6 am.
This crabapple tree is really beginning to pop!
I love these lilacs against the white sky,
and here the grape is beginning to leaf out finally.
The grape and the scarlet oak are always very slow to leaf out.
Mike always thinks they are dying.
All manner of columbine reside about the place.
They are all equally dramatic in my eyes!
These are some of the "plain" ones,
plain yellow, and double baby pinks.
But they are still spectacular.
I wish I could capture the smell of this June morning for you!
It is indescribable!
And the ride to town, (despite the flat tire this morning....Bah!)
was gorgeous in both look and smell!
All and all,
a lovely approach to the day.

And do look up "God Bless this Beautiful Morning" the song by JT and the Clouds, and sung by one of my very faves, "Po'Girl"....
Let's see if I can find a link....

A Fine March Morning

Ok, this isn't the foto I wanted it to be. I didn't really suceed in capturing the feel of the day. As you can tell, it is early still, not quite light. This is the old barn in the meadow.
We were feeling jubilant that spring was upon us and we awakend to fresh snow!
I am sure it will be gone and will have taken more with it by the time I get home this afternoon and it did evoke a lovely feeling this morning.....You know that feeling when you open one eyelid at a time and are saying in your head, " I really am not ready to leave this warm nest of loveliness and start my day" and then you get up and see snow and just want to crawl back in till someone brings you a steaming cup of tea?
Well, I got up and opened the damper and added a log and did yoga and then headed to work, I am having tea now.
